Sun’s new position will help shape and drive the company’s growth in China and other parts of Asia.
“Tekni-Plex recently made a substantial $15 million investment in a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China, near Shanghai to support the growing Asian marketplace. We are committed to providing expanded solutions in medical tubing, medical compounds and dispensing products via our Natvar, Colorite and Action Technology businesses,” Russell Hubbard, senior VP or international business at the company, said in a press release.
Sun joins the company with more than 15 years of experience working with multinational corporations in Asia. He recently served as a regional market development director for Aptar’s home and beauty segment in Suzhou, China. At Aptar, Sun was responsible for developing strategic plans, market and product development and creating a speed-to-market process. He has also held leadership roles at Toly (Hong Kong), MeadWestvaco (Shanghai) and Calmar (Kansas City, Mo.)
