Teleflex Medical OEM (Wayne, Pa.), today announced the acquisition of IWG High Performance Conductors (HPC), a medical tubing and wire components manufacturer.
The addition bolsters Teleflex Medical OEM’s position in the arena of custom-engineered medical devices and its ability to provide clients with technologies used in electrophysiology, drug- and stent-delivery and neurovascular interventions, according to the acquiring company. It also expands and diversifies Teleflex Medical OEM’s its portfolio of in-house capabilities.
Headquartered in Inman, S.C., HPC also has a plant in Trenton, Ga. It manufactures low-friction PD-Slick liners, hybrid tubing, micro-diameter wire and tubing, and conductor-embedded tubing. It also produces copper and copper alloy conductors, and high-tensile strength alloys for use in microelectronics and specialty instrumentation.
