The HeartWare HVAD system has experienced recalls throughout its lifecycle, including its most recent Class I recall in March this year due to the battery charger.
The implantable system for Remodulin is an infusion system that is fully implanted into a patient to deliver Remodulin through the veins. Remodulin is typically used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension.
The implantable system for Remodulin consists of the Medtronic SynchroMed II 8637P programmable pump, Medtronic N’Vision 8840 clinician programmer with 8870 application card and the Medtronic 8201 implantable 80 cm intravascular catheter.
