The SCOOTER Store Supports Fight Against Multiple Sclerosis

April 22, 2011 By Bio-Medicine.Org

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas, April 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — One hundred
and eighty miles — Houston to Austin, Texas — that’s
the challenge bike riders in the BP MS 150 overcame on April 16 and
17 in a fund-raising event for Multiple Sclerosis. Team Freedom, a
corporate team sponsored by The SCOOTER Store, the
nation’s leading provider of power mobility solutions and services,
completed the two-day ride and raised nearly $20,000 toward the
cause.

The event marked the eighth consecutive year that The SCOOTER
Store employees, family members and friends have participated in
the event.  The SCOOTER Store partners with its strategic
vendors to raise money for the National
Multiple Sclerosis Society
.

This year, Team Freedom was represented by over 50 riders, most
of them employees of the company, and a team of volunteers who
provided planning and logistical support for the riders, as well as
enthusiastic encouragement throughout the event.

“We are very proud to be a Platinum sponsor of the BP MS 150
event,” said Mike Pfister, executive vice president of External
Relations and Government Affairs at The SCOOTER Store.  “We
have great respect for the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the way
they organize the MS 150 bike rides.  Our riders really look
forward to participating in this challenging but gratifying event.
We are always amazed at the joy we get when crossing the finish
line in support of this worthy cause.”
