Thermoforming groups Tru-Form Plastics and InterTrade Industries plan to merge, looking to operate under the new moniker of Tru-Form Plastics, an InterTrade Industries Co.
Gardena, Calif.–based Tru-Form Plastics said late last month that the combination will help support both businesses by adding additional customer service, sales team and engineering members, as well as 14 additional production machines. The company said it will also increase the manufacturing capacity of both entities, allow for the assembly of plastic and metal parts into components and improve in-house tooling, painting and silk-screening abilities.
“This is such an exciting opportunity for both companies’ leadership, employees and customers. With our combined capabilities, staff and equipment, we are well-positioned to exceed clients’ expectations for everything from engineering and design to full-scale production to meet their needs in today’s dynamic environment,” Tru-Form Plastics prez & COO Jim Goode said in a prepared statement.
The newly formed company will continue its operations at two southern California locations until this summer, after which Tru-Form Plastics will relocate to InterTrade Industries larger 75,000 square foot headquarters in Westminster, the company said.
