These 10 stories mattered the most for medtech in 2020

COVID-19 dominated the news, but there was so much more going on in medtech.

Let’s face it: These are soul-trying times, and no one is going to miss 2020.

We’re leaving behind a year of tragedy and disaster — with the COVID-19 pandemic and its more than 1.6 million deaths (more than 300,000 in the U.S. alone) at the top of the list.

But in the midst of it all, people adapted as best they could and went on — and so did the medical device industry. Medtech, in fact, played a crucial role in efforts to manage the pandemic.

Here are 10 stories that dominated the news on Medical Design & Outsourcing and MassDevice in 2020.
