Somnetics converts CPAP stock to BiPAP
Minneapolis-based CPAP manufacturer Somnetics repurposed its inventory of Transcend CPAP machines to BiPAP machines, developing a new breathing circuit to help control aerosolization of virus particles to protect healthcare workers.
The Fridley, Minn.-based company received an emergency use authorization from the FDA in May to get the converted machines into the hands of healthcare providers in Minnesota and South Dakota.
