Led by Neptune as founder and managing partner, the firm has not yet named any clients, but said on its website that it aims to “advise boards, CEOs, and executive teams at moments when institutional credibility, oversight responsibility, and stakeholder trust converge.”
The firm will focus on the areas of reputation and trust, strategic communications, board and leadership alignment, and artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
Neptune left Medtronic in August 2025 after five years at the world’s largest medical device company and became an assistant professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Hussman School of Journalism and Media.
“Last summer, I left corporate to join the academia side of things to really bring that business lens to what I call the front of the pipeline,” Neptune said in a PRWeek interview about his new firm. “I’ve always had this broad view of corporate leadership, institutional trust and the way we think about global enterprises. Something that has become clear over the last several years is reputation has increasingly become not just a communications issue, it’s a governance issue.”
Responding to a message from Medical Design & Outsourcing today asking whether he plans to focus on the medical device industry, Neptune said he doesn’t currently have any medtech clients, “but the sector is an obvious target given my background and recent [Medtronic] experience.”
