A new touchless temporal thermometer has been released by Withings. This thermometer connects to smartphones to keep track of the temperature trends a person has as they use it.
Using the Withings Thermo involves holding down its sole button and scanning the thermometer across a person’s forehead around the temporal artery. An array of sensors on the tip of the device takes hundreds of measurements, identifying the hottest temperature during the scan.

The results are displayed on the device’s light-up screen, which is also a touchpad that can be used to change which person is being measured so the app can track everyone’s temperature ranges individually.
There’s also a mode included to take measurements, during which vibrations are felt when a reading is complete.
The device connects to the Internet via WiFi, but can sync to smartphones via Bluetooth as well.
