Trademark Plastics Inc. (TPI) today announced that Suhas Kulkarni, the founder of TPI partner FimmTech Scientific Molding & Processing, will present at MD&M West in April.
TPI and FimmTech have worked together for four years, most recently offering seminars on FimmTech’s Nautilus, a mold-qualification software based on scientific molding and design of experiments (DOE).
“Partnering with FimmTech and leveraging the Nautilus DOE software has granted TPI the ability to form the most robust processes 100% of the time,” TPI said in a news release. “The Nautilus software also assists in rapid troubleshooting processes, such as DOE’s that can be run within 3-4 hours, as opposed to several days or even weeks without this software. With proper machine and mold specifications input, all the user needs is to fill in the new parameters within the process, and the outputs will be formulated. This allows the user to modify the process on a computer, without interfering with the process or production.”
Kulkarni led a seminar at MD&M West 2021 focused on scientific approaches to injection molding and information on the Nautilus software. This year’s topic is scientific processing and how implementation leads to a no-tweak and robust process, covering scientific processing and scientific molding and demonstrating how data-driven decisions increase the production efficiencies by lowering scrap and cycle times with the least human intervention, TPI said.
Kulkarni will present at TPI’s booth (No. 2819) on April 13.
