Mount Vernon, NY – TurboFil Packaging Machines LLC, an equipment specialist dedicated solely to the design and development of liquid filling and assembly machines, has introduced a standalone, fully servo-controlled ceramic vial filler system. Designed as a convenient cart-mounted module for easy portability between lines, the company’s MediFil Cart delivers exemplary dosing accuracy by combining cutting-edge ceramic pump technology with exacting, expedient automation elements.

Capable of employing as many as 12 piston pumps, the MediFil Cart embodies a welcome blend of tight-tolerance dosing precision, production floor flexibility and operator-friendly ergonomics. Per the former, each of the compact system’s filling channels is driven by its own motor drive. This enables each filling channel to be individually adjusted for optimal accuracy. A suck-back feature minimizes drips, and optional customizable fluid fittings can match specific product requirements.

The MediFil Cart’s convenience is nearly as impressive as its precision. For exceptionally fast cleaning, the unit’s proprietary stainless steel pump housing is intentionally designed for ease of disassembly and reassembly, and the ceramic pumps themselves can be quickly removed via a single hand screw. And given its inherent portability, the entire system can be moved for cleaning and calibration, then returned for seamless re-incorporation into production environments.

For intuitive operation, an integrated PLC and HMI affords simple setup, as well as control over all fill parameters – including enable/disable, volume, speed, acceleration and suck-back. A recipe system further simplifies fill parameter setup during changeover. For versatile integration, ethernet connectivity provides remote system control or incorporation into larger production lines. Once there, dose control and calibration can be performed via simple dose-weight input.

“As both filling tolerances and production scheduling windows grow ever tighter, pharma manufacturers are seeking solutions that combine precision with expedience and flexibility,” said Deborah Smook, VP of Marketing & Business Development for TurboFil Packaging Machines LLC. “The MediFil Cart is designed as a versatile filler that allows operators to perform set up removed from a production line, then integrate the unit in a just-in-time fashion that maximizes uptime and overall efficiency.”
