UBM Canon’s Medical Device Group and Gems Sensors & Controls Announce Online Fundamentals Course for Medical Device Professionals

March 15, 2012 By the Associated Press

UBM Canon’s Medical Device Group, the global authority on the MedTech industry, today released a new resource, a fundamentals course, which is available free online to registered users. The topic of this course, sponsored by Gems Sensors & Controls, is “The Fundamentals of Level Sensing: How to Choose a Liquid Level Sensor.” This course will provide medical device and in vitro diagnostics (IVD) professionals with information and insight into level measurement, point-level sensors, best practices, and overcoming design obstacles.

(Logo: http://photos.prnewswire.com/prnh/20101214/LA16070LOGO) This is the first of many in a series of fundamentals courses that will be made available to medical device professionals throughout the year.

“I am very pleased to offer this fundamentals course to our design audience,” stated Rich Nass, Director of Content, UBM Canon. “This is just one example of the many resources we continue to add to our Qmed property, which includes whitepapers, videos, and a regulatory tool through another partnership. Designers will find that the fundamentals course is quick and easy to follow, and they can learn at their own pace – stop the course and come back to it later – so it’s very flexible and made to fit their busy schedules.” In addition to learning the fundamentals of level sensing, professionals who take the course will gain an understanding of what problems they likely will encounter when designing their products, what options are available to them, and the tradeoffs that are associated with each of the choices.
