Forest Lake, Minnesota – Velosity, a leading medical device contract manufacturing organization, has once again been recognized for its outstanding commitment to workplace safety and health. The company was honored at the 2025 Minnesota Safety and Health Conference, hosted by the Minnesota Safety Council on May 5–6, for its continued excellence in occupational injury prevention.

Velosity’s Brooklyn Park location has earned the Gold Achievement Award, recognizing an incidence rate better than the 75th percentile of both the state and national averages for its industry. Additionally, Velosity’s Forest Lake CMD location has been awarded the Bronze Achievement Award, reflecting an incidence rate better than the 50th percentile.

“Keeping the people we work and live with safe is a full-time job,” said Paul Aasen, CEO of the Minnesota Safety Council. “Congratulations to Velosity for investing the time and energy to make work and life safer inside their organization and beyond.”

“This achievement highlights our steadfast commitment to ensuring the highest safety standards for our employees,” said Dave Hemink, CEO of Velosity. “Safety is at the core of everything we do, and receiving this recognition for the second year in a row reinforces our ongoing efforts to protect our team and maintain a culture of safety excellence. Our Velosity safety committee plays a critical role in refining protocols, incorporating employee feedback, and implementing proactive measures to maintain a safe work environment. These awards reaffirm our dedication to fostering a workplace where safety remains a top priority.”

Since 1934, the annual Governor’s Workplace Safety Awards program has celebrated Minnesota employers demonstrating exceptional safety performance. Companies are evaluated based on injury data compared to industry benchmarks and the effectiveness of their safety programs.
