Vention Medical said today that it boosted its footprint on the Emerald Isle with the opening of a new facility on the National University of Ireland’s Galway campus.
South Plainfield, N.J.-based Vention also has an extrusion and catheter-making operation in nearby Boyle, Ireland, the company said. The Galway facility will offer medical device design & development services
“Ireland has continued to evolve as one of the premier European hubs for medical device innovation,” CEO Dan Croteau said in prepared remarks. “We’re expanding our presence to offer our customers in Ireland and the broader EU more convenient, local access to our full range of services, from design and development through manufacturing and assembly.”
A quick editor’s note here: Nordson last year acquired Vention’s advanced technologies division, while MedPlast bought Vention’s device manufacturing services division. Here is Nordson Medical’s web address: https://www.nordsonmedical.com/
