A biodegradable plastic was developed by researchers at Wyss Institute. 

This material is found in shrimp cells and can be used to develop, “implantable foams, films, and scaffolds in surgical closure, wound healing, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine applications,” according to Wyss Institute.
