VIQ Solutions Inc. announced that VIQ Dataworxs, in conjunction with reseller Edi-Cord WPS, was awarded a new contract for the secure capture, management and transcription of physician dictation with an Ontario hospital.

Doctors and staff at the hospital use their existing phone system to capture physician dictation, which is automatically routed to the hospital’s secure central server for storage and access.
From the server, the hospital’s authorized transcriptionists can access voice files for playback and transcription. The entire VIQ Dataworxs workflow from capture to transcription is encrypted and meets the highest security and privacy standards, including PIPEDA and HIPAA.

The contract was won by VIQ Dataworxs reseller Edi-Cord WPS of North Bay. Earlier this year, Edi-Cord was awarded a capture and workflow system contract with an Ontario police force.
