The cable cutting device ORC80 for sample preparation complements the ORC-series by enabling the cutting of hard materials as well as sector cables smoothly. The Splitting Cutter SC-PE to cut thin stripes for the heat elongation test is from now on available in a new version. Furthermore, a mobile cable stripping machine as well as a vacuum positioner are now part of the VisioCablePro family.
The Cable O-Ring Cutter ORC80 was designed to combine the features of both the ORC65 and ORC150 – a compact cutting device for hard materials, e.g. PE and XLPE, with an outer diameter from 15 – 80 mm. The ORC80 is also the first device of the ORC series, which can cut parallel and smooth sector cable samples. These cut samples are according to the guidelines of IEC 60811-201 points 8.1.3 and 8.2.3 and are therefore optimal for quality measurements with offline cable measuring devices.
The Splitting Cutter SC-PE from VisioCablePro has been improved. Hereby, the adjustment options as well as the power transmission have been optimized to ensure a more precise and smoother sam-ple by using less effort. The SC-PE cuts lengthwise a slice of the sheath or isolation with a thickness of 0.8 – 2 mm according to IEC 60811-501. This cutting thickness is easily adjustable according to your required thickness and is therefore optimal for preparing dumbbell samples for the heat elonga-tion test.
One further new product is the mobile version of the Cable Stripping Machine. It enables a quick and easy removal of the sheath from short cables. Due to the adaptability of the blade’s cutting depth, a damage of the inner materials is prevented.
To easily and precisely handle very small samples, the product portfolio of VisioCablePro has fur-thermore been supplemented by the Vacuum Positioner. With the aid of a pump and the creation of a vacuum, the sample can easily be picked up. Thus, samples smaller than 1 mm can precisely be placed onto measuring devices. The device is perfect in combination with our ORCMicro as well as the cable measuring device VCPLab.
