CareWear: Wearable therapeutics
CareWear is showcasing its wearable therapeutic patch at the Wearable Technologies Conference in San Francisco.
CareWear is designed to reduce pain, accelerate recovery and reduce joint stiffness. The patch features more than 3,500 LED lights that use PhotoBioModulation to treat pain and improve tissue recovery. The lights produce blue and red lights to increase local blood circulation and elevate tissue temperature. Wavelengths from the patch warm tissues to relax muscles, stimulate increased nitric oxide production to improve circulation, decrease inflammation and stimulate energy production to improve cellular function.
The hydrogel patch adheres to the skin like a band-aid and can treat pain and improve tissue recovery within 30 minutes.
CareWear’s wireless controller is the power source and dosage controller for the patch. It is rechargeable, reusable and waterproof and can be pre-programmed to deliver the correct dosage of light therapy.
