NeuroMetrix, Inc.’s Quell wearable pain relief line now includes the new Sport Electrode model with a special hydrogel designed to better hold up in situations with high humidity and perspiration. The electrode absorbs less moisture, but is otherwise comparable to the original Quell Electrode, according to the company.
The Sport Electrode was developed in response to feedback indicating the need for a suitable option to offer chronic pain relief in situations with high humidity and perspiration.

The advanced wearable pain relief technology delivers 100 percent drug free relief and is available without a prescription. It can be used during the day while active, and at night while sleeping, and users have the option to start, stop, and adjust therapy discreetly via smartphone.
It also enables advanced sleep tracking that provides feedback on eight dimensions of sleep including sleep duration, quality, body position, time out of bed, and repetitive leg movements throughout the night.
In a recent study, 81 percent of Quell users reported an improvement in their chronic pain, according to Waltham, MA-based NeuroMetrix. The electrode is available from select healthcare professionals and retailers.
