Winscribe and IMAGE Information Systems have collaborated to create MED-TAB.
MED-TAB, a portable radiological work-station, combines high-resolution LCD display and medical imaging analysis technology. Supported with Android and Ios devices, MED-TAB is used with native PACS advanced visualization software and Winscribe’s dictation software to allow professionals to analyze, document, send, and report radiological images from anywhere including bedside, on-call situations and emergencies.

With this technology, professionals can work away from their station and will not need to use difficult-to-use software for reliable results.
Users download the Winscribe Dictation mobile app on their smartphone or tablet device to scan the MED-TAB barcode. This allows users to dictate important and required information needed for the report. Radiologists and other imaging professionals need this information to reduce the time it takes to compile reports and enter information in to the system.
“Winscribe is excited and honored to be partnering with IMAGE Information Systems,” said Pierre Corboz, Director of Product Strategy at Winscribe. “The launch of MED-TAB in 2016 was ground-breaking to the radiology sector, and their goal to provide new and effective solutions that allow medical professionals to work in more convenient and effective ways is simpatico with Winscribe’s objectives. The innovative usage of our mobile apps that link to MED-TAB, as well as the integration of deferred Speech Recognition to immediately populate the radiologists’ reports to accelerate the turnaround time are the exact type of projects that show our dedication to reducing time and reducing cost. Through this partnership, we hope to further empower radiologists with access to high quality medical imaging and reporting tools that enable them to work more efficiently and provide better patient care.”
“The Winscribe platform finally gives us as radiologists the freedom to report from anywhere at any time using MED-TAB,” said Dr. Arpad Bischof, radiologist and a member of board of directors at IMAG.” “ It is the only system, worldwide, which could offer us this flexibility.”
