Owens & Minor, through its subsidiary Halyard, was a big player in personal protective equipment during the COVID-19 pandemic. It distributed masks and N95 respirators for frontline workers and continued to make surgical gowns, drapes and packs, sterilization wraps, surgical accessories and equipment covers, exam gloves and other PPE. Its other two global product divisions, MediChoice and Medical Action Industries, make patient monitoring, respiratory, skin care, urology, wound care, IV start kits, procedure trays, mobility aids and more. Owens & Minor consistently ranks among the top 20 revenue earners in the medical device industry. –DK
