Charlotte, NC — Bosch Rexroth has recently expanded its offering of miniature Ball Rail® Systems. The new offering now covers sizes 7, 9, 12, 15 and 20 in the standard version and sizes 9, 12 and 15 in the wide version. Single-piece profiled rails up to 2000 mm in length simplify assembly, with stainless steel cover strips available for sizes 9 mm and up. For even longer travel distances, Rexroth supplies multi-piece profiled rails joined together at the clearly marked end faces. All steel parts consist entirely of corrosion and acid-resistant material, making them ideal for sensitive applications such as wafer handling equipment, medical device manufacturing, optical gaging or inspection equipment, and circuit board inspection and manufacturing.
The miniature rail products are available in various accuracy classes and pre-load versions, along with standard full contact seals or optional low-friction seals. Additionally, they meet RoHS and WEEE material content requirements and have been independently certified by Germany’s prestigious Fraunhofer Institut for applications in class 10 cleanrooms. With constant speeds of up to 3 m/s and accelerations of up to 250 m/s², Rexroth's miniature Ball Rail Systems offer peak performance in the miniature guide segment.
