Cantel Medical (NYSE: CMD) recently purchased an office building in Plymouth, Minn., where it will consolidate four of its locations.
The new, four-story, 159,000-square-foot building can accommodate up to 600 employees, according to the Little Falls, NJ-based company.
“We are excited to purchase a new building to provide more space and capacity for our growing organization,” said Scott Thome, senior vice president of operations for Cantel, in a prepared statement. “Our new facility will allow for increased efficiencies and cost savings that will help improve productivity, enabling us to scale our organization as we continue to grow, and better serve our customers around the globe. We also believe this important milestone demonstrates our commitment to invest in our teams and foster a workplace that embraces our culture and core values.”
In August, Cantel bought the clean room maintenance business from Stericycle (NSDQ:SRCL) for $17 million in cash. The controlled environmental solutions business consists of the B&V Testing and Certco, which provide testing & certification, environmental monitoring and decontamination services for clean rooms and other controlled environments. The CES business put up $8.9 million in sales last year, according to Cantel.
Cantel Medical offers infection prevention products, services and solutions. It has Mar Cor Purification and Medivators locations in Plymouth, Minn. and plans to occupy the new building in March 2019.
