Hoffer Plastics hires VP of operations

Medtech supplier Hoffer Plastics today said it has hired Jeff Klabunde as VP of operations, effective immediately.

Klabunde was formerly VP of product, operations excellence and integration at Brink’s and before that managed domestic and international operations during his 26-year career at Johnson Controls.

He’ll oversee all operations-related functions at South Elgin, Illinois-based Hoffer Plastics. That includes the integration of automation technology and ongoing manufacturing plant maintenance to maximize productivity and operational excellence, the injection molding company said.

“It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome Jeff Klabunde to our team,” Hoffer Plastics Co-CEO Alex Hoffer said in a news release. “Jeff’s wealth of experience and leadership in manufacturing and operations will be a tremendous asset at Hoffer Plastics. This role is a significant part of our strategic plan, which is focused on continued investments in our people, technologies and quality systems, that will take Hoffer Plastics to the next level.”

The company said Klabunde will work closely with new VP of Quality Excellence Jim Stoffel to enhance the company’s quality systems and ensure implementation across the organization.
