MDLIVE, a developer in the rapidly growing virtual health market, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Sanjay Patil as Executive VP and General Manager of Health Systems Strategy and Transformation.
In his new role, Patil will lead an experienced team of healthcare and technology professionals with responsibility to provide client engagement, system transformation and ongoing change management, with MDLIVE’s virtual care technology.
Patil brings more than 20 years of experience in clinical practice, hospital administration, physician/hospital joint venture development and quality management. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, and he received his master’s in Clinical Research and Biostatistics.
His published research and clinical trial interest includes the use of machine learning to identify patients at risk for adverse clinical events, and his work with hospital readmission reduction programs has used predictive models, biometric monitoring and EMR workflow/clinical decision support to significantly lower heart failure readmissions. He brings extensive EMR data model, workflow and implementation experience to the MDLIVE family.
