Building on the success of its inaugural report last year, Meissner further embedded sustainability into its daily operations and strategic decision-making throughout 2024.
“This year, our sustainability efforts became an even more intentional and collaborative endeavor across our global teams and with our valued partners,” said Christopher Meissner, CEO. “By connecting expertise across departments and engaging stakeholders, we’ve made measurable advances in protecting our planet and empowering our people.”
The new report spotlights advancements in two major focus areas: risk management and people development. By strengthening safeguards and bolstering workforce growth, Meissner is proactively positioning itself for continued resilience and leadership in the life sciences industry. Collaborative cross-departmental initiatives and the involvement of key sustainability champions were also central to this year’s progress.
A key milestone in 2024 was breaking ground on the company’s new manufacturing site in Athens, Georgia. This expansion represents an investment in innovation, economic growth, and community partnership, supplementing Meissner’s established operations in Camarillo, California, and Castlebar, Ireland. The Athens facility is designed to meet ambitious sustainability objectives, while supporting the production of advanced microfiltration products and ready-to-use systems for critical biopharmaceutical manufacturing. “Our connection to the communities we serve has never been stronger,” affirmed Laura Meissner, V.P. and Executive Director of Quality. “By broadening our reach—from Camarillo and Castlebar to Athens— we are generating positive impacts that extend beyond our operations.”
Meissner’s 2024 sustainability program also saw expanded engagement with customers and suppliers, seeking to drive collective progress toward shared sustainability goals along the value chain.
Meissner remains committed to annual, transparent sustainability reporting and to working collaboratively toward a healthy, equitable, and resilient future. For additional information about Meissner or its 2024 Sustainability Report, visit www.meissner.com/sustainability or contact +1.805.388.9911.
