MicroCare has acquired Certol International, a Denver-based manufacturer of specialty cleaning and disinfecting products.
New Britain, Connecticut-based MicroCare said in a news release that the acquisition aligns with its strategic goals and priorities to fuel growth by delivering innovative, value-added solutions and services to the global critical cleaning industry.
Certol’s leading product and development initiatives will amplify the programs within the MicroCare pipeline, the company said, while it will enable continued focus on high-growth segments, including medical, automotive, electronics and fiberoptic communications.
MicroCare pointed to Certol’s 40-year history of providing EPA-registered, high-performance surface disinfectants and specialty cleaners for dental offices, medical offices, and hospital settings, as well as specialty cleaning products for industrial, marine and consumer use.
“We believe that the Certol product lines, customer relationships, and centralized U.S. location will reinforce our position as a leading supplier to the industries we serve, and will allow us to more efficiently deliver an expanded range of complementary solutions to our customers,” MicroCare CEO Tom Tattersall said in the news release. “With this acquisition, MicroCare will continue to be well-situated to capitalize on the many emerging trends in the dental and medical markets. We view this important acquisition as an excellent step to position the business for continued growth as we work with customers to solve their cleaning and disinfecting challenges.”
