Miki Pulley 101 Electromagnetic Actuated Clutches accurately connect and release power by being located between the driver and the load.

Miki Pulley is introducing its 101 Electromagnetic Actuated Clutches for direct sale to OEM’s in North America. These 101 Clutches have zero-backlash design. They handle a variety of motion applications including stepped speed-changing mechanisms, switching between forward and reverse operation, position/indexing and inching.

Miki Pulley 101 Clutches accurately connect and release power by being located between the driver and the load. They provide an efficient connection between a motor and a load with low inertia, minimal drag and zero backlash. They function utilizing the magnetic force generated by the energized coil providing engagement of input and output members of the clutch.

Miki Pulley 101 Clutches are durable, versatile and available with three different armatures. The 101 is a simple, straightforward design, consisting of clutch stator, rotor and armature.

The clutch assembly features an integrated bearing design making mounting fast and easy while ensuring application concentricity and excellent system runout. 101 Clutches operate well in temperatures from 14° to 104° F(-10° to 40° C).

Available in bores ranging from 12 to 60 mm, with brake torques ranging from 3.68 ft. lbs. to 236.02 ft. lbs. (5 to 320 Nm). The 101 uses corrosion resistant materials, and is RoHS compliant like all Miki Pulley products.

“Miki Pulley’s 101 Clutches are another proven option for high performance textile manufacturing systems, food processing, paper processing, packaging and high speed printing systems,” said Jon Davidson, Miki Pulley sales specialist. “They are a preferred choice of motion system designers throughout the manufacturing world.”
