Researchers from Fraunhofer have developed a microchip that lines up cells for analysis.
Doing so will help scientists to determine the number of tumor cells in blood.
“Our new microhole chip allows single cells to be picked out of the blood sample, placed on separate holes in the substrate for analysis, and removed individually afterwards,” says Dr. Thomas Velten of the Franhofer Institute.
