3M’s Health Care segment sells products and services including medical and surgical supplies, skin health and infection prevention products, inhalation and transdermal drug delivery systems, oral care solutions (dental and orthodontic products), health information systems and more. Medical and surgical products include tapes, dressings, wound closure products, orthopedic casting materials, electrodes and stethoscopes. When it comes to infection prevention, 3M markets surgical drapes, masks and preps, as well as sterilization assurance equipment and patient warming solutions. Drug delivery systems include metered-dose inhalers, transdermal skin patches and related components.
