Teleflex Medical OEM said today that it opened a new center in Limerick, Ireland, for its diagnostic and interventional catheter customers.
Citing research showing that some 60% of a product’s cost is created during the design phase, Wayne, Pa.-based Teleflex Medical OEM said its Irish customer center’s team uses a 9-step process for quick-turn concept development and design.
The facility’s team designs for manufacturability, using the company’s proprietary database of catheter design elements.
The Limerick center also features labs for 3D printing, prototype development and device testing, Teleflex Medical OEM said.
