Adverse drug events (ADE’s) stemming from peristaltic pumping play a significant role in today’s healthcare. Choosing the correct material and minimizing the dimensional variation of your tubing are critical aspects to reducing potential ADE. Through our pump studies and novel computer-aided engineering simulations, we will demonstrate the importance of these material properties and dimensional variations on pump accuracy as well as to help reduce product development cycle time. Through a better understanding of pump tubing material properties, process variation control and advanced modeling software, peristaltic pump manufacturers can have a robust understanding of their product and how to mitigate potential ADE’s.
Attendees of this webinar will learn:
- How material selection can play a critical role in the flow rate consistency of medical pumps.
- How variation plays a key factor in the dosing accuracy for medical pumps.
- How new and novel modeling techniques can support your pump product development.
