PeriCor: PeriTorq
The Children’s Hospital at Montefiore – New York
PeriTorq is a catheter grip tool used during pediatric cardiac interventional procedures. PeriCor designed the torque tool to improve the maneuverability and stability of catheters during interventional cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology procedures. It provides catheter stability without causing internal damage.
It’s possible to use the device on catheters ranging from 4 Fr to 8 Fr — including diagnostic electrophysiology catheters, radiofrequency and cryoablation catheters and interventional catheters.
PeriCor’s PeriTorq has been tested with diagnostic electrophysiology and radiofrequency ablation catheters and has demonstrated excellent torquability and stability without affecting signal integrity or the ability to deliver radiofrequency energy, according to the company.
