Air Science’s new DWS range of downflow workstations provides safety for work being done in workstations and has the potential to be used in medical device R&D labs.
The new units are ductless fume hoods that reduce HVAC overworking and lowers overhead costs by operating at low noise levels and recirculating air.
The DWS workstations have a small workbench mounted unit that has front and side access and allows for open access to operations that are usually hindered by traditional fume hoods.
The ductless fume hoods are designed to protect the user and environment. The down flow action moves hazardous air from the user of the workstation. An alarm will sound if airflow becomes too dangerous.
The options for the main filter of the workstations varies between 14 types of carbon, including specialty media for vapors of organics, solvents, acids, mercury, HEPA and formaldehyde.
