Digital health startups to watch:
Cleerly Health
Cleerly Health, the developer of FDA-cleared diagnostic solutions driven by machine intelligence, raised $223 million last year for its AI-based software developer to spot atherosclerosis based on coronary computed tomography (CT) angiograms.
This month, the company brought on two new leaders: CFO Krissy Wright and Regulatory Affairs EVP Sandra Statz. Wright was previously VP and GM of Brain Modulation at Medtronic, while Statz was SVP of Clinical and Regulatory Affairs at Exact Sciences Corp.
“Their proven track record of strategic and operational experience in finance and regulatory affairs will extend our team’s expertise to serve Cleerly’s mission to create a world without heart attacks,” Cleerly founder and CEO James Min said when announcing their hirings.
Last year’s Series C round followed a $43 million Series B fundraise in 2021, announced when the company launched its digital care software for heart attack prevention.
