HMD, a multi-functional medical device company, announces the launch of their Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign set for March 20th in an effort to raise funds for its new multi-use device, Omni-Pro.
The innovators at HMD have developed Omni-Pro—the first-ever “14 in 1” unit for doctors and other medical practitioners on the go, calling it the “Swiss Army Knife” of medical devices.
Each set features 14 commonly used components including an Otoscope, Tongue depressor, Blue Light Filter, Magnifying Glass, Disposable Specula, Ophthalmoscope, Caliper, Stethoscope, Reflex hammer, Sensory Hearing Screener, Tuning forks, Babinski test, Otoscope Clip, and Audiometer Clip.
Dr. William Hasbun, an internist and geriatrician in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, developed Omni-Pro. He received his medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo. He has been in practice for 40 years and is a former professor of medicine at Columbia University, NY, as well as UMDNJ, NJ.
HMD will be launching an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign to raise funds for the manufacturing of the product on March 20th, 2016.
The early bird special pricing cost is set at $250 per unit and the company is offering a variety of perks including a special perk that will send the Omni-Pro units to Project C.U.R.E., an organization that delivers medical devices to severely resource-limited communities—making diagnosis and treatment possible, and protecting health workers to ensure better outcomes for surgery and emergency care.
