Konica Minolta announced that the company has received the Platinum Supplier award from Vizient (formerly MedAssets), the largest group purchasing organization in the country. Presented during the 16th annual Healthcare Business Summit held in late April in Las Vegas, the award was given to just five percent of the 2,400 companies that contract with Vizient. It exemplifies the Konica Minolta commitment to promoting quality and value in the supply chain, and being a strong corporate citizen.
Recipients of the Platinum Supplier award were evaluated on more than a dozen criteria divided between two main categories: business partner and support and social responsibility. Specifically, a vendor’s ability to work in a timely fashion with a healthcare system, and to meet all foundational terms including service and support weighed heavily in the decision process. Overall commitment to environmentally responsible business practices, charitable giving and operating with ethics and corporate responsibility were also given high consideration for the award.
