Prosthetics have been around longer than we have realized.
According to Jane Draycott, a reporter for The Conversation, prosthetics trace back to the Egyptian days.
The image below is a “prosthetic toe” that was found near Luxor, Egypt, and is currently displayed at the Egyptian Museum.
