The B0912N1016 small bone motor (9.6 V– 38K RPM), B0912N4023 small bone gearmotor (9.6 V – 1.1K RPM), and B0912N4024 small gone gearmotor (9.6 V – 12.8K RPM) are sterilizable BLDC motors. Portescap officials boast that the motors provide optimal torque and speed for drills, saws and reamers — enabling precise tissue removal in small bone orthopedic surgical procedures.
Medical device creators can use the new Portescap motors in both traditional ortho surgical tools, as well as robot-assisted surgery systems. For batter-powered applications, it’s possible to pair the motors with a Portescap sterilizable controller.
