Primo Medical Group announced that it has purchased the cleanroom assembly and packaging business from North American Sterilization and Packaging (Franklin, N.J.). The financial details of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
“With this purchase, Primo Medical Group continues to show its leadership in the Medical Device OEM space. We are very excited about the opportunity to create new partnerships while adding value to both our existing customers and new ones alike,” said Steven Tallaride, CEO of Primo Medical Group, in a press release.
Primo Medical Group plans to expand its cleanroom assembly operations with this purchase and will include North American Sterilization and Packaging’s customer portfolio that covers a variety of medical device manufacturers in the U.S. and Europe.
The company has invested in new technologies over the last 17 years, such as the Angiolink Corporation (acquired by Medtronic), Arthrosurface, Spirus Medical (acquired by Olympus), Cardiosolutions, Saphena Medical and Versago Vascular.
“Primo is looking for continued growth both organically and by leveraging strategic acquisitions such as NASP,” said Andrea Patisteas, a senior executive VP at Primo Medical Group.
