With the bioprocess industry mobilizing to support the development of tests, vaccines and treatments for COVID-19, medtech distributor Qosina said that its supply of single-use bioprocessing components can offer significantly reduced time to clinic and market over multi-use systems during situations like the coronavirus pandemic.
Ronkokoma, N.Y.-based Qosina said it also provides 3D CAD models and comprehensive technical specifications, such as material safety data sheets, technical data sheets, material certification and compatibility information on most of these products. They include tubing, sanitary couplings, bag ports and aseptic connectors.
These components are designed to be used once, or for a single manufacturing campaign, and then discarded, thus bypassing the need for pre-use cleaning and sterilization procedures.
More information about single-use systems and how they can be beneficial in a global crisis like COVID-19 is available from Qosina here.
