nView Medical – insta3D
Salt Lake City
Startup nView Medical says its low-dose surgical scanner uses AI-based image creation to provide instant 3D imaging during surgery. The goal is improved imagery speed and accuracy.
The company announced last year that it had raised $1.2 million in seed financing. The company filed two 510(k) pre-submissions in January, according to nView Medical’s presentation at NCC-PDI’s “Make Your Medical Device Pitch for Kids!” competition.
“Reducing radiation dose in pediatric patients is of utmost importance to improve safety when caring for kids. It was also the added precision offered by the 3D technology that was important to our pediatric orthopedic surgeon judges,” said Eskandanian at NCC-PDI.
