Waltham-based instrumentation giant Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. has purchased Ohio company TREK Diagnostic Systems for an undisclosed amount from its parent, Chelmsford’s Magellan Bioscience Inc., according to a press release.
TREK Diagnostic is a provider of microbiology testing products and related consumables, including blood culture, microorganism identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) products. The company reported full year revenue in 2010 of $34 million and has 150 employees.
