Amada Miyachi America: Resistance welding and laser processing
Amada Miyachi America (Monrovia, Calif.) touted its Sigma Femtosecond Laser Tube cutting system this year. The company also plans to showcase its UB29-A linear DC micro welder, the Series 320 Electronic Weld Head System and its new MM-400A Desktop Resistance Weld Checker.
The Sigma laser tube reduces post processing costs, according to the company. It is ideally used for medical device applications.
The UB29A linear DC micro welder is ideal for welding wire assemblies, sensors, connectors, squibs, catheters, orthodontic appliances, pacemakers, implantable hearing devices and battery packs.
Amada Miyachi’s Series 320 electronic high precision low force resistance spot welding head is ideal for safety critical applications in medical markets. It has an expanded force range that increases maximum weld force to 7.0 lbs. with a maximum follow up force of 7.75 lbs.
The company is also showcasing its MM-400A desktop resistance weld checker that is ideal for monitoring and managing key welding variables in process development and production environments. The checker features a simple and intuitive user interface and color touch panel display that helps operators easily monitor and manage variables that result in changes in weld heat.
