RETURN TO BASE
The drone automatically returns to base, but there’s no runway to land — which is just as well, because the drone doesn’t have wheels or landing gear.Instead, the drone flies through a pair of metal towers, between which hangs an elastic cable that snags the drone right out of the air and gently lowers it to the ground.
The flight ops team then takes the drone apart, puts the battery on a charger and stores the components for the next run.
The entire process can be completed in as little as 15 minutes.
