MDO parent Arrowfly is launching AI for Engineers

September 30, 2026 By Chris Newmarker Leave a Comment

This is the logo of AI for Engineers which is part of Medical Design & Outsourcing's parent Arrowfly. Arrowfly, MDO‘s B2B media and marketing parent company, announced today that it is launching AI for Engineers, a resource for engineers and technical leaders applying artificial intelligence in their work.

For the past 20 years, the medical device industry has increasingly digitized physical devices to create a more connected healthcare environment — both inside and outside health provider locations. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, this trend will only accelerate, and AI for Engineers will include a medtech component to help medtech insiders build the knowledge they need to develop devices in this new world. (Read more Medical Design & Outsourcing coverage about artificial intelligence and medtech here.)

AI for Engineers is anchored by Arrowfly’s network of more than 20 flagship engineering brands, including the company’s premier medtech brands DeviceTalks, MassDevice, and Medical Design & Outsourcing. Arrowfly’s engineering brands collectively reach 2.1 million verified industry readers, 29 million website visitors, and 1.6 million email subscribers, generating 202 million monthly impressions.

All the efforts behind AI for Engineers will culminate in a flagship annual conference that is launching Sept. 20–22, 2027, at the M Resort Spa & Casino, right outside Las Vegas.  The conference, which will include a medtech track, is one of four interconnected pillars that also include a dedicated news desk, an advisory board, and original research. Together, they form a year-round platform equipping engineers with practical knowledge, peer connections, and professional guidance as AI reshapes the engineering profession.

“AI is no longer a future-state consideration for engineers. It is a present-tense operational reality across product design, manufacturing, robotics, medtech, and energy,” said Amanda Buehner, SVP, Sales & Strategy, Engineering, Arrowfly in a news release. “What we’re hearing from engineering leaders is that the challenge isn’t whether to adopt AI. It’s how to move from experimentation to practical, repeatable applications that deliver results. AI for Engineers is built around that need, bringing the industry together around trusted information, real-world implementation, and direct exchange between practitioners.”

Registration for AI for Engineers 2027 is open now. Engineers and technical leaders can register at aiforengineers.arrowfly.com/event.
