The Society of Thoracic Radiology will host its 29th annual
meeting March 6 to 9, 2011, at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point
resort in Bonita Springs, FL. The program committee, headed by Dr.
Gerald F. Abbott, has designed a comprehensive course of value to
all physicians with an interest in cardiopulmonary disease.
Several sessions will help imagers understand the rapidly changing
area of lung cancer imaging. The Felson lecture, entitled
“Radiologic implications of the new IASLC/ATS/ERS lung
adenocarcinoma classification,” will be delivered by Dr.
William D. Travis, an internationally known pathologist with a
unique interest in radiologic-pathologic correlation. The inaugural
Gordon Gamsu Memorial Lecture will be delivered by Dr. David P.
Naidich on the topic “Subsolid pulmonary nodules: current
approach to diagnosis and management.”
