UZUMCU Medical Equipment, one of Turkey’s first and largest manufacturers of medical devices, is seeking reseller and OEM partners in the U.S. The company has an array of FDA-certified OR tables, surgical lights, surgical suction units, electro devices and other medical equipment.

“We want to bring our experience with distributors throughout Europe and the Middle East–with a customer base that encompasses 80 countries–to the U.S. market,” said Tugrul Karagulle, sales and marketing director at UZUMCU.

The company, pronounced “oozumchu,” was founded in 1969. UZUMCU has production facilities in Ankara, Turkey and leads that country in international certifications.

“By expanding to the U.S. we feel we can make use of our experience and expertise and add value to the OR environment,” said Murat Uzumcu, general manager and member of the company’s founding family.

UZUMCU has revamped its English language website, adjusting product descriptions to indicate FDA approvals, and is supplying more information about UZUMCU’S customers and global partner network. In addition, the company is making use of a local, experienced consultant to represent UZUMCU and handle reseller inquiries in the U.S.

Its products have all the relevant international quality certificates like CE, ISO 9011, ISO 13485, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. UZUMCU offers medical devices and products to hospitals in both the private and public sector.
