The Dept. of Defense awards Zoll a highly competitive medical device supply contract worth up to $210 million over 5 years for defibrillators, warmers, monitors and infusers.

Massachusetts-based Asahi Kasei (TYO:3407) subsidiary Zoll Medical landed a Defense Dept. contract worth up to $210 million, providing defibrillators, monitors, warmers and infusers to multiple divisions of the U.S. armed forces.
Zoll beat out 29 other bidders for the contract, according to a DoD report. The 5-year base, economic price-adjustable contract, funded by 2014 defense working capital funds, will help provide medical technologies to the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and federal civilian agencies
