Covalon Technologies Ltd. has signed a agreement with distributor Medline Industries Inc. for the handling of products including IV Clear, SurgiClear, and ColActive Plus.
In a statement, Covalon’s CEO Brian Pedlar said the move will bring improved availability of the company’s products to cancer treatment centers, pediatric hospitals, and wound care clinics.
Medline distributes skin care products, operating room kits, surgical trays, and advanced wound care brands to hospitals, extended-care facilities, surgery centers, physician offices, home care dealers, home health agencies, and retail outlets in the United States.
Covalon provides infection management and advanced wound management dressings for both acute and chronic wounds. Its dual antimicrobial silicone adhesive IV Clear and SurgiClear brands are used to help prevent infections and medical adhesive skin injuries, while providing insertion or incision site visibility to the healthcare provider, according to the company.
